135th Street Elementary School has developed a written Title I parent and family
engagement policy with input from Title I parents and agreed upon by Title I parents.
During our advisory committee and decision council meetings, parents gave input in
developing the policy. The policy is mailed to all parents and is given to parents of new
students upon enrollment. Copies of the policy are available in the main office and parent
center. The policy is also available in English and Spanish.
This policy and compact was adopted by 135th Street Elementary School on November 30,
2023 and will be in effect for the entire school year. It will be distributed to all parents on
December 1, 2023 and is made available to the local community in the Main Office and by
posting on ClassDojo and the school website.
A School-Parent Compact for Achievement is an agreement that parents, students and teachers
